The 4th Annual MPAK Retreat Held with 175 People Participating
MPAK held its 4th Annual Retreat at the Forest Home Center in the Forest Falls, CA on July 5-7, 2019. Adoptive families from various parts of the US came, with a dozen people from MPAK-Korea traveled all the way from Korea to participate as well.
The parents were treated with seminars on the Trust-Based Relationship Intervention (TBRI) conducted by Pastor Max McGhee of the Saddleback Church and Ms. Estee Song of the Olive Crest. The Korean guests were provided with a Korean-speaking lecturer at the same time.
All the adoptive kids enjoyed a variety of water sports, giant swing, zip-line, and bonfire with smores, and many fun crafts and sporting events were enjoyed over the weekend.
We are grateful no one was injured, and despite an earthquake jolt that shook everyone in the middle of a seminar, it didn't stop us from having fun. It was by far the best retreat for MPAK.
