To Bring About Positive Changes to the Korean Adoption Culture
Is Secret Adoption Wrong?

Before saying anything on this, I would like to first mention the old saying, "Before you can judge a person, you have to walk in his shoes first." This is another way of saying, "Before you come down hard on Koreans, you have to first live in their culture." Therefore, I can safely declare that if Koreans don’t adopt based on the above reasons, they are not necessarily wrong. It is perfectly legitimate for them to worry about what may happen to their adopted children, and it is natural for them to feel embarrassed or fear when the culture tells them they should. They just need to have courage and see the positive aspects in adoption.
